Grace Life Center is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit church in Laurel, Maryland — part of Charismatic Renewal Ministries.
The mission
What we exist to do.
Our mission is to help people be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and carry His life into ordinary places — homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
We are a well, not a fence. We do not exist to police a boundary line about who is in and who is out. We exist to make Jesus available, and to walk with anyone who turns toward Him, at whatever pace they can manage. We measure our work not in crowds, but in the depth of transformation in one life at a time.
Who we serve
Two groups, and we ask neither to become the other.
Our neighbors in Maryland
People in Laurel and the surrounding Maryland and Washington, D.C. communities — Columbia, Bowie, Beltsville, Savage, Jessup, and Fort Meade among them. All are welcome at our Sunday gathering. There is no membership requirement and no cost.
Anyone, anywhere, who is searching
People with no church background, people who have left church and are not sure they want to return, and believers who want to go deeper. Everything in our formation pathway is available online, free, from any country.
Our activities

Everything below is offered at no charge. We do not sell courses, resources, or services, and we do not run advertising on this site.
Weekly gatherings
Sunday worship at 10:00 AM at 8730 Cherry Lane, Suite A5, Laurel, Maryland. Open to anyone. No membership, no dress code, no cost, no registration.
One-on-one discipleship
Trained disciplers walk alongside people through every part of the pathway, so that nobody travels the road alone. Offered free, in person or online.
Prayer and pastoral care
We pray for anyone who asks, member or not, and walk with people through crisis, grief, illness, and hard seasons. Requests can be sent from anywhere, at any hour.
Free teaching, given away
Our Watch & Read library holds more than a hundred and eighty sermons and original written teachings, published free — no paywall, no account, no advertising.
The Gathering
A contemplative online community for unchurched, dechurched, and spiritually curious people, meeting Saturday evenings and launching in January 2027.
The formation pathway
A four-part discipleship curriculum, free to anyone.
Our central program is a sequence of courses that form ordinary people into apprentices of Jesus. Each can be taken in person in Laurel or entirely online, and each is free.

For anyone starting out. Learning to be with Jesus. You do not have to believe first to begin.
Twelve weeks
BECOME®
A journey through the Sermon on the Mount — Jesus’ own curriculum for the inner life.
Twelve modules
The Disciplers Track
Training people to walk one-on-one with another person, as someone once walked with them. By invitation.
Eleven weeks
The Leaders Track
Forming those Jesus is calling to shepherd and lead. The towel, not the throne.
Where we came from
A call sounding for over forty years.
In 1980, in a student prayer meeting in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, a word was spoken that birthed our movement: “Start preparing people for the Great Harvest — people of beaten gold and of quality; teach them what it means to love and to have authority.”
From that prayer room grew Charismatic Renewal Ministries, a family of churches carrying that assignment around the world. Grace Life Center is where it continues in Laurel, Maryland.
Organization and funding
How we are organized, and how we are paid for.
Grace Life Center Charismatic Renewal Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious organization, EIN 27-1713997. The local church is overseen by a Council of Elders known as the Core Group, led by the Senior Pastor, Okezie Ofoegbu. We are affiliated with Charismatic Renewal Ministries.
We are funded entirely by the voluntary giving of the people who call this church home, and by gifts from those who benefit from our teaching. We charge nothing for any program, course, resource, or service. Gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and every giver receives a year-end statement. Our financial records are available to members and donors on request.
